Public Path Diversion Order, 2025
On 14 November 2025 Somerset Council confirmed the above order.
The effect of the order, as confirmed, is to divert that part of public footpath WS 18/24 starting from OS Grid Reference ST 48913 35935 (point C on the order plan) and running south east for approximately 97 metres (point M) then approximately north east for 11 metres to OS Grid Ref ST 49014 35918 (point D on the order plan). Part of public footpath WS 18/22 starting from OS Grid Reference ST 48911 35942 (point A on the order plan) and running in a generally north easterly and then south easterly direction for approximately 157 metres to OS Grid Ref ST 49050 35922 (point B on the order plan) To a route which starts from: OS Grid Reference ST 48911 35942 (point A on the order
plan) and runs in a generally east south easterly direction for approximately 97 metres to point N at OS Grid Reference ST 49004 35925 and then in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 13 metres to OS Grid Ref ST 49014 35918 (point D on the order plan). The width will be 2 metres. OS grid ref ST 49031 35900 (point E) and runs north east for approximately 31 metres to OS grid ref ST 49050 35922 (point B on the order plan). The width will be 2 metres. This order comes into force on the date on which Somerset Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 and 8 of Schedule 14 to that Act.

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Ham Road – from the junction with Red Road, northwards incorporating Weston Road for a total distance of 1,072 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out pole replacement works.
The Order becomes effective on 26th November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 3rd December 2025 and last until 3rd December 2025 between the hours of 09:30 – 15:30 for a total of 6 hours.
