Taunton the topic of BBC quiz Do You Know Your Place? – set to hit screens tonight

TAUNTON will be the topic of a BBC quiz set to hit screens tonight (Tuesday).

Somerset’s county town will take centre stage in Do You Know Your Place?, hosted by Vernon Kay, which tests three celebrities on their knowledge of UK places.

Questions on the show will be provided by The Traitors star Paul Gorton, who mixes fact and fiction for panellists made up of broadcaster Owain Wyn Evans, Olympian Greg Rutherford, and Blue Peter presenter, Abby Cook.

A Somerset Council spokesperson said the show was filmed last September with the backing of Screen Somerset, the authority’s film office.

The Taunton episode of Do You Know Your Place? is set to hit screens on BBC Two at 6.30pm tonight, and will be available on BBC iPlayer shortly after.

This latest on-screen appearance for Somerset comes after two county pubs starred in new Martin Clunes film, Mother’s Pride, while a Shepton Mallet street starred in Guy Ritchie’s new Young Sherlock series, on Amazon Prime Video.
