A SOMERSET backstreet was transformed for the new Guy Ritchie Young Sherlock series, which hits screens tomorrow (March 4).
Frithfield Lane, in Shepton Mallet, was a location in the new eight-part series which will be shown on Prime Video.
Shepton Mallet Prison was also used in the filming of Ritchie’s new series, along with main locations in Bristol, which doubled as 1870s Oxford for the production.
Ritchie and the Young Sherlock crew were in Somerset for around two weeks in 2024 to film scenes in Shepton, at the Cornhill and Frithfield Lane, with set dressers taking the locations back in time.
Somerset Council’s Screen Somerset team helped facilitate the work.
Young Sherlock stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin as the young detective, with Donal Finn as Moriarty, and will be available on Prime Video from Wednesday, March 4.
