The England Coast Path (ECP) has been closed between Watchet and Blue Anchor due to a landslip. The footpath, within Somerset, is the responsibility of Somerset County Council (SCC)
SCC took the decision to close the path during the course of the weekend “in the interests of public safety”.
The ECP can still be used if you follow the marked inland diversion. Details for this can be found on the site closure notices and online here.
SCC are already working with relevant landowners to assess the long-term safety of the route.
