All services on GWR from Somerset into Paddington will face severe disruption this morning.

Overhead line equipment between Reading and London was damaged yesterday evening. Network Rail engineers continue to work to fix the problem. Some lines will remained blocked which will cause disruption on train services this morning into Paddington.

GWR say disruption is expected to continue until at least midday. Customers are warned not to travel if their destination is London Paddington or stations between it and Reading.

Heading west too

Elsewhere on the GWR network, flooding has blocked railway lines between Plymouth and Totnes, preventing trains from entering/leaving Devon and Cornwall.  Due to road conditions and the availability of buses, no replacement bus transport is in place.
