Appeal after burglary in Glastonbury

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Glastonbury last week. On Wednesday 20th October between 2.30 – 4.30pm a property on Old Wells Road in Glastonbury, was broken into. The elderly resident’s home was burgled after the lock and chain on the front gate was cut. A number of items were stolen from the house.

PC Jim Card told us: “This burglary of an elderly person took place in the middle of the afternoon. I am confident that someone may have seen something. It is likely that the offender(s) will have arrived and left in a vehicle. Potentially being dropped off and then collected after the burglary had taken place.”

Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time? Did you see a vehicle parked up that looked out of place? Do you have any dashcam footage taken in the area at the time of the break in? If you have any information please phone the Police on 101 quoting reference 5221246172.
