Yeovil site – with permission for 24 new flats – has gone up for sale

A SITE in Yeovil – with planning permission for 24 flats – is up for sale.

Greenslade Taylor Hunt (GTH) is marketing the plot, in Victoria Road, Yeovil, with an asking price around £450,000.

The 0.86-acre site, close to the town centre, has planning permission for 24 open-market flats and will be accessed from Victoria Road.

Flats approved would be housed in two three-storey apartment blocks, GTH said.

“The site is not subject to a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) as the planning permission pre-dates the introduction of the levy. No Section 106 contributions are required either,” a spokesperson went on.

“Both these factors should be of interest to any developers looking to take on the project.

“It is also close to Yeovil Pen Mill Railway Station and Leonardo – the home of British helicopters in the UK – which employs a highly skilled workforce.

“The site is on the market, on an unconditional basis, for offers in the region of £450,000.”
