Work underway – and sales open – at final phase of Taunton development

WORK has started – and sales are underway – on the final phase of the huge Hartnells Farm development in Taunton.

Persimmon Homes South West has opened a sales cabin at the site, in Monkton Heathfield, and has already secured a reservation on the final 90-home development.

The scheme is the final part of the Hartnells Farm development, which features around 320 homes.

New homes in the final phase will be equipped with electric vehicle charging points and air source heat pumps, with up to 22 homes reserved for housing association tenants, three of which will be accessible bungalows.

As part of the work, an existing large oak tree in the south-east area will be retained as part of open space, while a woodland walk will be created through the north-east.

Meanwhile, as part of its Community Champions initiative, Persimmon donated £1,000 to Taunton charity On Your Bike last month.

Other recent local recipients from the fund include Taunton RFC Junior Section, West Monkton Parish Council, and Wellington Baptist Church’s Warm Place programme.

South west sales director, Stacey Harris, said: “We’re delighted with the progress being made at Hartnells Farm and it is really encouraging to have already taken our first reservation on this final phase.

“These much-needed homes will be of great benefit to Taunton and those with an interest are recommended to get in touch with us so as not to miss out on this opportunity.

“Hartnells Farm is a high-quality scheme in a great town with excellent transport links and Persimmon is excited to be opening up the dream of homeownership to families in such a desirable location.”
