VODAFONE broadband and mobile internet is down for users after a “major issue” on the network.
Homes and mobiles around the country are unable connect, while others battle slow internet speeds, with the company’s own website also not responding at some points.
Internet service monitoring website Downdetector has reported a spike in reports of Vodafone services being out of service this afternoon, with more than 25,000 incidents of people being unable to connect to the internet.
One householder in Somerset told your Leveller: “I was due to start work this afternoon but I can’t connect, so I’m losing valuable time.
“Everything is down – my mobile, home broadband, which means everything from the laptop to the television isn’t working. It’s a nightmare.”
Fellow internet research site, Netblox, has also posted data showing an apparent nationwide outage for Vodafone.
The company issued a short statement acknowledging a “major issue” affecting 4G, 5G and broadband services, with a spokesperson adding: “We appreciate our customers’ patience while we work to resolve this as soon as possible.”
