A VEHICLE is reported to have caught fire after a crash near Taunton.
Firefighters from the town were sent to Ruishton at around 12.38pm on Sunday afternoon (January 5) after reports of a blaze.
A Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On arrival, crews confirmed that this was a vehicle alight, following what appeared to be a road traffic collision earlier on in the day.
“The vehicle was extinguished using one hose reel jet and the use of hydraulic spreaders to gain entry into the vehicle.”
The vehicle suffered 30% fire damage, they added, with the cause was unknown.
