GLASTONBURY is known around the world as a town steeped in ‘nature, myth, magic and fantasy’. And that is exactly the way leather maker TribaMythica describes itself.
So it is fitting the Glastonbury-based firm – made up of husband and wife team Esther Remmington Winckles and Martin Winckles – was commissioned to create a new hat for town crier, Brad Crowley, who took up the role last month (May).
Esther and Martin have designed a bespoke leather hat for Brad, which features several nods to the town, including the Tor, dragons – and feathers.
Explaining the design, TribaMythica said: “He (Brad) requested the Glastonbury Dragons to be represented on the sides, and Glastonbury Tor on the back. Plus of course, some epic feathers.
“Such a pleasure to create something so special.”
On social media, Glastonbury folk hailed the design, calling it “epic” and “awesome”, with one saying: “Well done, it’s fantastic. Your talent knows no bounds.”
