THREE new affordable homes have been handed over for Somerset residents.
The properties, built by Summerfield Homes at the Carrots Farm development in North Petherton, will be available to tenants through Homes in Sedgemoor.
The two, two-bedroom detached coach houses, and one two-bedroom end-of-terrace house will be occupied for rent at less than 80% of the market value.
They feature solar PV panels, car charging points and two parking spaces each.
Housing Development Team leader at Homes in Sedgemoor, Nick Draper, said: “The council’s investment represents excellent value for money and the end results speaks for themselves.
“We have been very pleased with Summerfield’s approach to joint working and the quality of the homes they have built for us.”
And Ed Khodabandehloo, managing director at Summerfield, added: “It’s been great working in partnership with Somerset Council in delivering much needed, energy efficient, affordable homes.
“North Petherton is a thriving community and a very convenient location for the M5 access as well as Bridgwater and Taunton.
“We hope their tenants really enjoy living there.”
