MORE than three decades of service came to an end for one Taunton firefighter this week.
On Wednesday (January 7), Taunton Response group commander Jamie Dickenson retired after 32 years of operational service with the Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
During is career, Jamie worked across the whole of Somerset, including two spells on watch at Taunton.
“To mark this occasion, Jamie was presented his certificate of service and clasp from his son, Jack, who works on Taunton Green Watch, along with the rest of the Taunton response group leadership team, the rest of Green Watch Taunton and fellow colleagues past and present,” a spokesperson said.
“Happy retirement Jamie from us all at Taunton.”
