PEOPLE affected by the devastating flats fire in Frome last night are being offered support.
Frome Town Council (FTC) and Fair Frome are coordinating a response to the blaze, which saw part of a roof of a block of flats in Marigold Road, on Edmund Park, collapse.
FTC also said conversations are ongoing with Selwood Housing, who own the building.
Meanwhile, anyone affected by the fire who needs essential supplies should call Frome Town Hall on 01373 465757, or email info@frometowncouncil.gov.uk, or pop into the front desk.
The town hall is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 4.30pm on Friday.
People can leave their details and a list of what they need, and a Fair Frome volunteer will deliver to them.
The town hall is on Christchurch Street West, Frome, BA11 1EB.

Purple Elephant – Frome can also help if people are in need of toys or support for children.
Chair and leader of FTC, Cllr Fiona Barrows, said: “We know our community will step up at this difficult time for the residents of the flats and thank you so much to Fair Frome and to Frome Rotary too for their kind offer of help.
“We will keep sharing information of ways you can help.
“Please look out for more information and if you can respond to a specific, individual request today, then of course please do.
“However, at this point, while we work out next steps and speak to Selwood Housing, please don’t gather large quantities of items, or any larger items: in the first instance we just need to make sure people are warm, clothed, fed and reassured that plans are under way.”
