Somerset football club launches ambitious £1m appeal for new community pavilion

A SOMERSET football club has launched an ambitious £1 million fundraising appeal to build a new sports pavilion.

Castle Cary FC wants to build the new facility at the Donald Pithers Memorial Field.

And to launch the appeal, the organisation has launched an online fundraiser with a target of £12,000.

“Castle Cary Football Club has always been at the heart of our local community, bringing together people of all ages through the love of the beautiful game,” the appeal said.

“But to continue to grow, support our players, and enhance the experience for all involved, we need your help.”

They said the planned pavilion would include changing rooms and showers, a community space for meetings and events, accessible toilets and a modern clubhouse for all.

“We are reaching out to you—our friends, supporters, and anyone who believes in the power of sport to bring people together—to help make this vision a reality.

“Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us get closer to our goal.

“Together, we can build a lasting legacy for Castle Cary Football Club and create a facility that future generations can enjoy. Your support will make a real difference.

“Thank you for your generosity and commitment to our club and community.”
