Sky-high tribute as memory of Frome sisters honoured by friends

“THE pain of losing the girls will never go away, but things like this allow positive memories to emerge from such tragic circumstances.”

Those are the words of Lily Breese, who along with her friend Mya Hamilton completed a skydive in memory of the two Frome sisters Maddie and Libby North who tragically lost their lives in a vehicle collision in Frome last year.

The pair said they set themselves the challenge of completing a 10,000ft skydive to “keep the memory of the girls alive” as well as raising money for a charity chosen by Maddie and Libby’s parents Verity and Jason, the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

Mya said it has “been an honour” to raise money for the charity.

“We have raised an incredible amount to date and I’m immensely thankful to everyone that has donated so far,” she said.

“It means a lot to be able to support the charity, and keep the memory of the girls alive.”

The pair say that their worlds were “turned upside down” when they heard they news that the sisters died.

They said: “The girls were vibrant, kind and had so much energy to give to the world. We were both close friends with the girls.

“They had so much energy and were wild at heart, so we wanted to do something to reflect this side of their personalities.”
