A SITE close to the new Gravity Enterprise Zone in Somerset – the site of a proposed £4 billion battery gigafactory – is up for sale.
Planning permission has been secured for four houses on the plot, close to the industrial site near Puriton, on the outskirts of Bridgwater, which is being marketed by Greenslade Taylor Hunt.
In November 2024, Somerset Council granted detailed planning permission for four open market homes on the land at Springhead Farm, Middle Street, Puriton, and the demolition of an existing barn, subject to conditions.
The permission also included the conversion of an existing barn, which is excluded from the sale.

The proposed homes will be designed to feel like a group of traditional barns. Two of the plots will have single garages and two will have double garages.
The site, in total, extends to around 0.33 hectares (0.81 acres) and is offered at a guide price of £400,000.
Offers should be submitted, on an unconditional basis, by noon on Friday, February 7. People can view the site on Thursday, January 16, or Thursday, January 23, between 9am and 11am, or other dates by prior agreement. Viewings must be pre-booked and the site must not be accessed unaccompanied.
