A SITE near Yeovil with planning permission for a barn conversion and eight new homes is up for sale.
The 1.7-acre plot, at Marston Magna, is being marketed by property agent Greenslade Taylor Hunt (GTH), who said it benefits from “good transport links to Sherborne and the A303”.
The site has a guide price of £850,000.
It also has a full phosphate mitigation strategy and is not subject to Section 106 contributions or Community Infrastructure Liability – subject to the size of homes submitted via the reserved matters application.
“It comprises a range of modern and traditional farm buildings and extends to around 0.7 hectares (1.7 acres),” GTH said.
“In August 2024 Somerset Council granted full planning permission and listed building consent to convert an existing farm building to a residential home.

“At the same time, it agreed the demolition of non-traditional farm buildings and the erection of eight homes – all open market.
“The proposed residential development scheme will comprise the barn conversion and the eight new build homes.
“To achieve this, the modern farm buildings will be demolished and a select housing development will be created. As part of the plan work will be carried out to improve the site access.
“Plot one – the barn conversion – will be taken down and re-built to improve visibility and provide a wider pavement for pedestrians.”
The site is offered for sale at a guide price of £850,000.
