Shed “completely destroyed” by fire near Bridgwater

A SHED was “completely destroyed” in a fire near Bridgwater this afternoon (September 30).

Firefighters from Bridgwater were sent to a property in Middlezoy at just before 1.45pm after reports of a shed on fire.

A Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said two fire engines were sent to the scene.

“Upon arrival, crews confirmed one shed well alight,” they said. “Throughout the incident crews used one hose reel jet.

“The shed was completely destroyed by the fire. The cause is believed to be accidental.”

The callout came just hours after firefighters from Bridgwater joined efforts to tackle a telehandler blaze in West Somerset.
