A POPULAR Glastonbury shop owner has passed away suddenly leaving his family “heartbroken”.
Stuart Brogan, who ran Viking shop Wyrdraven with wife Fiona, passed away in the early hours of Monday morning (February 12).
Fiona said: “In the early hours of yesterday morning, my beloved Stu, without warning, was suddenly taken to Valhal. Odin decided he needed him by his side.
“To say we are all devastated and in complete shock is an understatement as I’m sure many of you will be too at hearing this heartbreaking news.”
She said the Benedict Street store would be closed this week “until we gather our thoughts and come to terms with what has happened”.
“I know Stu was known and loved by so many of you in one way or another, be it as a proud shop owner, accomplished author, drummer/singer in ‘Roots of the Old Oak’ or as a member in one of the clubs he attended,” Fiona added.
“I’m a little lost for words at the moment … but I will keep you all updated on funeral arrangements for those of you who would wish to attend.”
A fundraiser has been launched to help the family make funeral arrangements for 48-year-old Stuart.
