PLANS have been submitted to convert a former shop in Weston into two flats.
JLS Design Services has submitted a change of use application to North Somerset Council to convert a former printing shop at 53 Whitecross Road into two, two-bed apartments.
A previous application for the scheme was refused by planners as it lacked a flood risk assessment, noise concerns, and included details of a wall being removed.

The application says all issues have now been addressed in the new plans.
“This application seeks consent to convert the ground-floor retail space into two, two-bedroom self-contained flats, which will be accessed through the current east and west entrances,” it said.
“The proposal will retain the original external finishes with no changes to stone boundary walls.
“The existing first floor flat will remain unaltered by the proposal.”
Externally, the appearance of the building will not change, the plan said, while there will be no additional parking for the property.
