A PERSON was rescued from a house fire near Taunton this morning.
Firefighters from Taunton were sent to the scene at just after 9.20am after reports of a blaze at a domestic property – with people inside.
“After further calls it was confirmed that this was a domestic fire with persons reported,” a Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
“Fire crews from Bridgwater, Wellington and an additional fire engine from Taunton were then mobilised.
“Crews used two breathing apparatus, one positive pressure ventilation fan, one hose reel jet, one gas monitor and one thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
“Fire crews rescued one person from the property.”
