A PERSON was rescued from a car after crashing into a ditch.
Firefighters and police were called to the scene, in Kingsbury Episcopi, at around 9.54pm last night (August 11). Crews from Yeovil and Martock attended and said they found “a vehicle that had left the road and was in a ditch, with the occupant trapped inside”.
“Crews used a triple extension ladder to bridge the gap over the ditch to gain access to the occupant, who was released unharmed,” a Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
“Crews were unable to make the vehicle safe due to its location. Duty of care was left with the police.”
