DRIVERS in Taunton will be faced with a partial road closure for up to four weeks starting next week.
A section of the A358 Staplegrove Road will be partially closed from Monday (March 10) to allow emergency work to take place to maintain power to nearly 2,000 Taunton homes.
A one-way traffic system will be in place from the Manor Road junction to the roundabout at the Greenway Road junction for a period of up to four weeks.

During the works, which is being carried out by National Grid, traffic coming into Taunton will need to follow a marked diversion route, via Silk Mills Road.

Traffic heading out of Taunton can use the A358 as normal.
Somerset Council is liaising with National Grid to minimise disruption and ensure the work is done as quickly as possible. It’s understood the work will take place at least six days a week until 11pm.
Drivers are urged to plan ahead to avoid delays.
