Mike Tyson v Jake Paul: Times, Netflix and more – all you need to know

THE world of boxing might be split over today’s fight between legend of the ring Mike Tyson and social media-born star Jake Paul.

But one thing is for sure, a lot of people will tune in to find out what happens when a 58-year-old legend of the sport takes on a 27-year-old who only took up boxing a few years ago.

Pundits are split on the bout, which will be shown on Netflix, with former world champion Tony Bellew among the critics.

The Liverpudlian even crashed Thursday’s Tyson-Paul weigh-in press conference, standing alongside an elderly man and proclaiming he had found Paul’s next opponent – a reference to former world champion Tyson’s advancing years.

After the stunt, which saw Bellew ejected from the press conference, he said: “Seeing that Jake Paul is fighting a grandfather in my icon and hero Mike Tyson, I thought, ‘He’s going to lose to a grandfather’.

“If he does, which hopefully he does, then I thought, ‘For his comeback fight, if that’s the demographic he’s going on, why not fight a great-grandfather? Fight Norman.”

Can I watch the Tyson-Paul fight on Netflix?

Yes. The fight will be available to anyone with a Netflix subscription – negating the usual ‘pay-per-view’ format for big bouts.

What time does the Mike Tyson v Jake Paul boxing match start?

Coverage on Netflix will begin at 8pm in the US (ET), which is 1am in the UK.

The Tyson-Paul fight is expected to get underway at around 4am UK time, on Saturday morning.
