Mayor of Bridgwater’s Christmas message for 2025

THE Mayor of Bridgwater, Cllr Kathy Pearce, has issued her Christmas message for 2025.

She said: “Over the past few months, I have been delighted to attend so many events and meet inspirational people involved in a wide range of activities.

“It’s a powerful reminder of the talented and creative individuals in our community, all striving to make Bridgwater a great place to live, work and play. We have so much to be proud of.

“Christmas can be a joyful time for many, but it can also be a challenging period for others. As part of my mayoral year, I am focusing on mental health support, particularly for men, who often lack strong support networks.

“That’s why Bridgwater Men’s Shed is my chosen charity. They provide a safe and welcoming environment where people can share or learn new skills or simply enjoy a chat. (Women are welcome too!)

“Over the coming months, I will continue to shine a light on many other local initiatives and projects that make a difference.

“In the meantime, if you are struggling over Christmas, please remember that support is available to help you through this time and into 2026.
