A KEY route in Taunton will be resurfaced – starting next week – with the road closed between certain times.
Somerset Council said the work, on Honiton Road, will start on Monday (November 10) and run until November 21.
The road will be closed on weekdays from 9.30am to 3.30pm while the roadworks take place, with a signed diversion in place via Blackdown Hill and Wellington, with traffic lights in place when the road is open.
During the closure, a shuttle bus funded by Somerset Council and operated by Hatch Green Coaches will serve the section of the 97 service between Canons Grove and Trull Stores.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout for residents, though there may be some restrictions or delays for vehicle access on occasion to some properties and residents should liaise with the site team on this.
Lead member for transport and waste services, Councillor Richard Wilkins, said: “The team will do their best to get the work completed as quickly and efficiently as possible – please do liaise with them if you are a resident and need to raise any issues around access.
“We are extremely grateful to residents for their support and understanding while this work is done.”
