LEGENDARY ex-Premier League manager Harry Redknapp came out of retirement last month to give some much-needed advice to a struggling Somerset football team.
Redknapp, who managed the likes of West Ham, Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth, has been drafted in as guest manager to try and get some points on the board for Tunley Athletic FC, a village with a population of just 400, found near Radstock and Bath.
Underdogs Tunley have not enjoyed the greatest season so far as they currently sit in last place in the Somerset County League Division 3.
Last season, the club played 26 games, lost all 26 and had a goal difference of –137.

The club may have hoped that being chosen as one of Specsavers’ Best Worst Teams, which comes with priceless face-to-face advice and support from Redknapp himself, would spark a turn in fortune – but even his magic wasn’t enough.
Tunley faced top of the league Highridge United First, who were coming off the back of eight wins out of nine.
The club found itself 1-2 down to Highridge by halftime, and despite a rousing team talk from Redknapp, Tunley went on to lose the game 1-6.

He is due to mentor Tunley until the end of this season.
When asked why he came to Tunley, Redknapp said: “Well, I just wanted to get back in football, really.
“The Man City job – I thought Pep was going to leave this weekend, so I thought I’d apply for that, but then this came up, and I thought no, I’ll shelve the Man City idea and head for Tunley.”
The ex-Spurs boss joked that he would ring up former Spurs players Gareth Bale and Luka Modric to add some depth to the Tunley side.
The club was gifted new kits to celebrate the occasion, emblazoned with the Specsavers logo.
