A FUNDRAISER has been launched in memory of a man who died in South Petherton last week.
Colin Lawson passed away at an address in Holbrook Park, off Mare Lane, on Friday, August 22.
Now, a GoFundMe appeal has been launched by Angie Long in a bid to create a garden in the 43-year-old’s honour.
“The family’s dream when Colin was still alive was to create a beautiful garden that they could all spend time in together,” she said.
“Sadly, due to Colin’s deteriorating eyesight, the dream never became a reality.
“The best way we can help them to keep Colin’s memory alive is to create a beautiful back garden along with a small memorial area so they can further celebrate Colin’s life.
“Please help me to shine a bit of light in the lives of his family while they are going through such a dark time.
“Thank you so much for looking at my page and please remember, any donation big or small will be greatly appreciated by Colin’s family.”
At the time of writing, the fundraiser had reached £345 of an £800 target. For more details, and to make a donation, visit gofundme.com/f/nrpv8y-colin.
Graham Janes, of Pear Tree Drive, Chard, was due in court on Monday (August 25) charged with Mr Lawson’s murder, and a count of assault causing actual bodily harm on the same evening.
