A PERSON was rescued from their car after getting stuck in water as heavy rain fell in Somerset.
Firefighters were called to the Stibbear Lane area of Donyatt at around 6.40pm on Monday night (December 1) after reports a person was stuck in a vehicle.
A crew from Chard was sent to the scene.
“Upon arrival, crews confirmed the occupant was still within the car and donned on their water rescue personal protective equipment and made their way to the vehicle,” a Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
“They successfully extricated the occupant of the vehicle and lead them to a place of safety.”
