FIRE crews tackled a blaze spreading from hedges and wooden fences to static caravans at a campsite in Berrow.
Firefighters from Bridgwater, Burnham, Cheddar and Ilminster were sent to the scene at just after 6.20pm on Tuesday evening (August 20).
A Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said on arrival, the crews found “this fire was actually involving hedging and wooden fencing, but was spreading to two static caravans”.
The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus.
“The fire was accidental and the damage was mainly to the hedging and fencing. Slight damage to the external of the caravans,” the spokesperson added.
The incident was dealt with in around two and a half hours.
