A GARAGE at a Somerset village property caught fire this morning – with two vehicles inside.
At just after 6.45am this morning (December 1), crews were called to reports of a shed with solar panels on fire in Pitney, near Langport.
Firefighters from Yeovil, Martock, and Somerton were sent to the scene, and found the two-bay garage was “well alight” and a further crew from Street attending.
“The garage measures approximately 20m x 10m, made of brick and stone construction,” a Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
“Solar panels on this property have been isolated.”
