A PROPERTY in Bridgwater suffered 40% fire damage following an accidental blaze last night (June 26).
Crews from Bridgwater and Nether Stowey attended a two-storey property in Chilton Street at around 7.30pm following reports of smoke and flames.
The team jumped into action and extinguished the fire using four breathing apparatuses, two hose reel jets, one thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure fan.

A Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “This was a privately owned domestic property made up of brick and tile construction measuring approximately 10 metres by five metres.
“The fire was located in the living room on the ground floor. Approximately 90% smoke damage throughout the property and 40% fire damage.”
