DRIVERS faced delays last night (Monday) after a multi-vehicle crash on the A303 through Somerset.

The incident, on the westbound carriageway of the route near Sparkford, happened at around 5.10pm and saw the road closed for around three hours.

An Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Thankfully, we do not believe anyone was seriously injured and officers left patients in the care of the ambulance service.

“The road was closed while emergency services attended and the vehicles were recovered. It was reopened just after 8pm.”
