A DOG was rescued from a house fire in Burnham-on-Sea at the weekend.
Three fire engines were sent to a domestic property on fire at around 1.01pm on February 15.
The property was “well alight” on arrival, a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue spokesperson said.
Crews immediately rescued one dog that was inside.
The fire was located in a tumble drier and it was extinguished using six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one safety jet and two thermal image cameras.
“There was fire damage to 50% of the ground floor and 30% to the first floor and 100% smoke damage to the ground floor and 40% to the first floor,” a spokesperson said.
