THE sound of sleigh bells will be ringing across Taunton in December as Santa does his annual rounds in the town before the big day itself.

Father Christmas will be joined by a merry band of elves as he makes his way around the county town between December 2 and 12.

As well as spreading festive cheer, Santa will be collecting for Taunton Round Table, which donates money to charities and good causes.

“We will be collecting each night – donations are gratefully received,” a spokesperson said.

Santa’s schedule in Taunton will see him visit the following areas, starting at 6pm on each date:
• Monday, December 2: Monkton Heathfield
• Tuesday, December 3: Sherford & Galmington
• Wednesday, December 4: Halcon & Blackbrook
• Thursday, December 5: Priorswood
• Monday, December 9: Cotford St Luke & Norton Fitzwarren
• Tuesday, December 10: Wellsprings & Lyngford
• Wednesday, December 11: Holway & Killams
• Thursday, December 12: Bishops Hull & Comeytrowe

“We are raising funds for Taunton Round Table which are donated to charities and causes in Taunton and surrounding areas,” the spokesperson added.

“We are a group of volunteers and do our best to cover as much of Taunton as possible with the resources we have. We look forward to seeing you.”
