SINGER and campaigner Charlotte Church will be speaking about Gaza at a rally in Somerset this weekend.

The star is due to speak at the ‘Silence is Violence, Speak Out for Gaza’ event in Bath on Saturday (March 16) in Kingston Parade, next to Bath Abbey.

A vocal advocate for Palestine, Church will share her thoughts on “why it’s so important to speak up when we see human rights being eroded”, a rally spokesperson said.

“She will elaborate on why she believes this affects everyone in the UK and call for more of us to join the movement,” they added.

Other speakers set to appear include Dr Mohammed Alruzzi, a Palestinian from Gaza who now lives in Bath, and a joint address by a Palestinian-British Bath resident and Jewish Wiltshire resident and human rights worker.

The event is set to take place from noon in Kingston Parade.
