A FOOTBRIDGE in Langport will close for a week to allow “essential maintenance and repairs”.
The walkway, which connects the Tesco store and the neighbouring moor over the Northstreet Moor Rhyne, will close to pedestrians on May 27.
A sign at the bridge said: “This footbridge will be closed from May 27 for seven working days.
“This is due to essential maintenance and repairs being carried out which have been organised by Tesco Langport.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but feel the safety of our customers and greater public, this work will be beneficial to all.”
The route is a busy one for pedestrians accessing the shop, as well as dog walkers and hikers making their way through the town.

Will this include clearing the “stream” too? Full of rubbish.
