A BUSY Ilminster route is set to be closed for work to improve telephone services in the area.

Fibrewave, on behalf of Vodafone, will be working at the junction of Station Road and Summerlands Park Drive from 7pm on November 15 until 6am on November 18.

Part of Station Road and the junction with Summerlands Park Drive will be closed as a result.

“These essential works have been approved by the Highway Authority and we have approval to work in this location,” a spokesperson said.

“We will endeavour to progress these works within the agreed timescale as swiftly as possible to cause the minimum of disruption.

“Please be assured that we will do everything in our power to keep noise levels down and to minimise further inconvenience.

“Thank you for your co-operation.”
