A BRIDGWATER children’s charity left devastated after a therapy centre was targeted by vandals earlier this month is to benefit from a fundraising event in the town.
Quiz Hosts is staging a special Music Bingo Fundraiser at The White Willow, Bridgwater, on Friday, April 4, in aid of Brainwave, which supports children with disabilities.
It comes around a month after the charity’s National Therapy Assessment Centre, at Huntworth Gate, had paint thrown over doors, windows and the car park in an attack by vandals.
“The recent damage to their centre has not only been distressing but may impact the vital services they provide to families across the region,” a quiz spokesperson said.

“To help raise much-needed funds, a night of Music Bingo – a fun twist on the classic game where songs replace numbers – is being organised.
“Tickets are just £10, which includes four games of music bingo, and all proceeds go directly to Brainwave.
“Let’s show Brainwave the support they deserve — have a laugh, sing along, win some great prizes, and help make a difference.”

They said a number of businesses have generously rallied behind the cause, offering a selection of prizes up for grabs throughout the night, including:
- A family ticket to Crealy Theme Park, worth £100
- Meal vouchers from The Quantock Pub & Carvery and Admirals Table
- Experience vouchers for Rapid Shot and Zero Reality VR at The Activity Warehouse
- A month’s membership and personal training sessions from Somerset Kickboxing Academy
- A voucher from Pyne’s of Somerset
The White Willow has also offered use of the venue for the event free of charge.
“We’ve sold just 15 tickets so far, and with just a week to go, I’m really hoping the local community can come together to support Brainwave and make this a night to remember,” said Nick Burrett, event organiser.
