OYEZ! Oyez! Glastonbury has a new town crier!
“Booming voice” Brad Crowley has been unveiled as the latest incumbent in the role for the Somerset town – and has already been hollering in the streets.
Glastonbury Town Council said: “We’re delighted to introduce Brad Crowley, the new Glastonbury Town Crier.
“With his booming voice and passion for tradition, Brad will be bringing energy and ceremony to town events throughout the year.”
And he reported for duty today (May 1), officially opening the Beltane celebrations in Glastonbury High Street.
Beltane is an ancient tradition celebrating the peak of spring. For Pagans, it is associated with fertility.
