A CYCLIST has died after she was involved in a crash in Taunton earlier today (March 10).
Avon and Somerset Police say a van crashed with a cyclist just after 10am at Lisieux Way.
Despite being taken to hospital for treatment for her serious injuries, the woman sadly died.
The van driver was arrested and remains in police custody.

Lisieux Way is closed in both directions while officers carry out enquiries. A diversion is in place around Normandy Drive.
A police spokesperson said: “Her next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
“They will be offered support by a specially trained family liaison officer.”
The force is now appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
