A TOTAL of 10 vehicles were alight during a fire in Frome last night (July 30).
Firefighters from three Frome crews were sent to the scene after reports of the blaze at around 12.36am.
“Upon arrival, the incident commander confirmed that several vehicles were well alight, informing control that crews were working hard to prevent the fire spreading to a nearby building,” a Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
The firefighters used two hose reel jets, two main jets, and two breathing apparatus to tackle the flames.
“Final information confirms that a total of ten vehicles were involved in the fire along with some external damage to an adjacent porter cabin,” the spokesperson said.
“Of the 10 vehicles, eight were 100% damaged by fire and the remaining two 30% fire damaged.
“All adjacent buildings were not affected by the fire.
