A BUSY Somerset route is closed after a crash, with drivers being warned to “avoid the area”.
The incident, on the A39 Bath Road near Cossington, has closed the route in both directions between Woolavington Hill (Knowle) and Manor Road (Cossington), with traffic building up.
Somerset Highways said the A39 was closed in both directions near the B3141 Woolavington Hill, a main route for drivers leaving the M5 at junction 23.
Avon & Somerset Police said: “The A39 is currently closed due to an incident please avoid the area.”
