Road near Wellington Monument to close this week for tree works

A BUSY route near Wellington will be closed this week for tree works.

Teign Trees is closing a section of Wellington Hill, near Combe Hill and the monument, tomorrow and Wednesday (August 13 and 14).

Wellington Town Council said the closure was “to perform urgent tree works due to ash dieback”.

The route will be closed between 8.30am and 4pm on both days, but open outside of those hours.

A diversion will be in place via Nowers Lane and Wrangcombe Road.
