Road closures planned at busy Burnham-on-Sea roundabout

THE busy Love Lane roundabout in Burnham-on-Sea will be resurfaced this month – with night-time closures in place.

Somerset Council contractor Heidelberg Materials will carry out the work, at the junction of the B3140 and Love Lane, from January 21 to 28.

The section will be closed between 6.30pm and 11.30pm on weekdays only, with access to Tesco and other business maintained.

Somerset Council’s lead member for transport and waste services, Cllr Richard Wilkins, said: “These are important repairs on a key route in Burnham-on-Sea.

“Our team is doing this work out of peak hours to minimise disruption on this busy road. We are extremely grateful to residents and road users for their support and understanding while this work is done.”
