DRIVERS in Worle are being warned of a number of road closures and temporary traffic lights in the coming weeks as drainage works are carried out.
North Somerset Council is planning work in High Street, Worle, and Station Road, Worle, from February 17 until March 13.
The roadworks in Worle will be carried out in a number of phases, which are:
- Phase 1 – High Street, Worle: February 17, for two days. The road will be closed 24 hours a day until 5pm on February 18, with works taking place between 8am and 5pm.
- Phase 2 – High Street, Worle: February 19, for two days. The road will be closed between 8am and 5pm.
- Phase 3 – Station Road, Worle: February 23, for five days, until February 27. The road will be closed 24 hours a day, with work taking place between 8am and 5pm. Works will be phased to allow access, with marshals on site during working hours to advise.
- Phase 4 – High Street, Worle: March 2, for two days. Multi-way traffic lights will operate 24 hours a day.
- Phase 5 – High Street, Worle: March 4, for eight working days, until March 13. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation for 24 hours a day, with a diversion route signposted.
“Thank you for your patience and cooperation while we complete these improvements,” a spokesperson said.
