TWO children were injured after being hit by a car while on a bike in Burnham-on-Sea.
Police are appealing for information after an incident in Rosewood Avenue at between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Thursday, July 17.
The youngsters, a boy aged 11 and a nine-year-old girl, were both riding a push bike when the collision occurred and suffered grazes and bruises.
The driver of the silver Honda Civic involved stopped briefly, before leaving the scene, police said.
“A man was later interviewed by police in connection with the incident and enquiries continue,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson added.
“Officers are especially keen to trace a man in a van who stopped to make sure the children were all right and helped them to get home.”
