A PERSON was freed from a car after a crash with a lorry in Castle Cary last night (April 16).
The incident occurred at just after 11.50pm on Thursday night, with emergency services sent to the scene.
Fire crews from Yeovil, Castle Cary and Wincanton attended – including a heavy rescue unit.
“On arrival, crews confirmed that one person was still trapped within the car and got to work to release them using hydraulic cutting equipment,” a Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
“The occupant of the car was released and handed over to on-scene paramedics.”
