A DRIVER was freed from wreckage after a car crash near Wincanton this morning (January 28).
The incident occurred in Holton, near the A303, at around 9.15am and involved two vehicles.
A Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said a crew from Wincanton helped a driver stuck in the wreckage when they arrived.
“Crews made contact with the driver to assess injuries until paramedics arrived,” a spokesperson said.
“Once paramedics were on scene, a plan was formulated to remove the driver.
“Crews worked simultaneously, and the driver was removed from the car and handed over to ambulance crews.”
